My Services
Initial Evaluation/Consultation session(s):
In our initial meetings, my primary goal is to gain a comprehensive understanding of what led you to seek care. We will explore your current concerns as well as relevant aspects of your medical, psychiatric, family, and social history. At the conclusion of the evaluation, I will offer a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. We will then have a collaborative discussion to determine whether continuing with treatment together is the right path for you. The evaluation/consultation process generally takes two to three sessions. Below, you will see the types of services I offer in broad categories.
Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy can be a deeply meaningful process—one that fosters greater self-understanding, emotional clarity, and personal growth. It offers a space to reflect on your experiences, explore patterns in your thoughts and relationships, and reconnect with your values and sense of purpose. While I am primarily a psychodynamically oriented psychotherapist and psychiatrist, I do draw upon concepts from a wide range of therapeutic modalities to meet your individual needs. Whether you are addressing a specific concern or seeking a deeper sense of well-being, we will work together in a thoughtful, collaborative way to help you feel more aligned, grounded, and fulfilled.
Medication Management
Medication can be an important part of achieving meaningful symptom relief. I take a thoughtful, conservative approach to prescribing—aiming to minimize unnecessary polypharmacy and prioritize safe, effective treatment at the lowest effective doses. When used judiciously, medication can also enhance the progress of psychotherapy.
That said, psychiatric medication may not be the right approach for everyone. Whether you're considering starting, stopping, or adjusting medication, we’ll navigate that decision together. My goal is to collaborate with you on a treatment plan that is both clinically sound and aligned with your comfort and preferences.
Emergency Services
I am unable to provide emergency psychiatric services through this practice. If you have a crisis or emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
